In
1997, the Nashville Bluegrass Band returned to South America. "We were invited
to Brazil to play for an organization of schools who taught English there. We
played nine cities from the northern to the southern-most coast," remembers Alan
O'Bryant. They played Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Campinas, Sao Paulo, Belem, Rio
de Janeiro, Fortaleza, Goiania, and Brasilia. "Oh, man, we never ate so good!
The food was indescribably wonderful. We were gonna fake our deaths
and stay there indefinitely."
