Em 16 de agosto, a IBMA anunciou os 5 nomes para cada categoria de premiação pela corrida ao "Melhor do ano de 2007", o "Oscar" da Música Bluegrass, a ser entregue aos vencedores na grande festa "IBMA Award Show" em Nashville Tennessee na noite do dia 4 de outubro de 2007 no "Grand Ole Opry House ".
